Hydro One Launches New Energy Effeciency Program for Business Customers

Hydro One Networks’ customers can now take advantage of a new province-wide efficiency program for business supported by the Ontario Power Authority. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) encourages reduced electricity usage among Hydro One Networks’ customers either through:

1.       Pre-established incentives for predefined technology:

 

·          Energy Efficient Lighting

·          Transformers

·          Premium Efficiency Motors

·          Unitary Air Conditioners

 

2.   Custom Project incentives of up to $150 per kilowatt of demand reduction, for the installation of pre-approved energy efficient technologies.

 

The application deadline is December 31, 2007 and projects must be completed by December 1, 2008.

 

Participation is easy:

 

1.       Visit our self-serve website at www.PowerSaver.ca and download the appropriate application form(s) and guideline(s).

2.       Mail or courier your completed application including all worksheets to:

Conservation and Demand Management Program Office
483 Bay Street, 14th Floor
Toronto, ON  M5G 2P5
 

3.       Contact Hydro One Networks via e-mail at ERIP@HydroOne.com.

4.       Work with your existing contractor or vendor to complete the project

5.       Submit your project documentation

6.       Start saving money on your organization’s electricity bill

7.       Receive your incentive cheque within 4 weeks if submission of proper project documentation.

 

Installing energy-efficiency equipment will reduce your energy usage, potentially lower your maintenance costs and reduce your operating expenses.
